Pretty cool. Jeremy Kasdin in this TED talk discusses an idea to remove the glare of a star’s light in order to possibly get a look at its planets.

That was an excellent video, both in terms of what it talked about and presentation quality. I particularly liked how he demonstrated the problem caused by the comparative brightness of exoplanets’ primary star, as well as what a solar system might look like with a functioning occulter in place.
