I love this xkcd post. You don’t really appreciate how thoroughly humans have conquered the planet, for better or worse, until you see something like this.

Too true. And those true rulers will be here long after complex life has disappeared. As the sun heats up, they will be the last form of life around on Earth, as they were the first.
